This afternoon I took out the Fujifilm X-Pro1 w/ Voigtländer Nokton S.C 40mm f/1.4.
I have switched from shooting jpegs to using RAW format along with the Fujifilm emulations from the VSCO 04 pack. These emulations are amazing. And they make my workflow so simple. The shadow details retained by the X-Trans sensor is phenomenal. Using RAW allows me to rescue the shadows with no sweat at all. I still LOVE the way the Voigtländer renders wide open. Soft, yet sharp. Busy bokeh, yet extremely pleasing. One of the best lenses I own for my X-Pro1

I have been enjoying your blog, and more importantly, your images for several months now. I acquired my first Fuji, the X-T1, early March and a collection of older lens.
Have you done any comparisons between the film simulation modes as processed (from raw) by Lightroom (latest version that supports this) and VSCO 04 filters?

Did you tried to use the VSCO in combination with straight out of camera jpeg? If yes, what film simulation do you think is the best for applying VSCO presets in post processing?
I mostly shoot jpeg and would love to get good results using VSCO, however I think the combination of film simulations + VSCO does not give pleasing results. I also tried to use the most “plain” film simulation Standard/Provia, but still the results are not the best.
why i cant achieve that creamy look in your provia did you do some tweaking in you photo? im new to this sorry 🙁
