Streets of May

May 2014. Again I have strayed into other areas of photography for a little while. I still shoot street. Below are 14 shots from Århus, Denmark. Captured using the X-Pro1 and the XF 56mm f/1.2 R. This lens is fantastic. Bokeh is so amazing. Focus is fast. And it works so damn well for Narrow DOF street photography. Enjoy.

    1. Hi tebarrister

All shots are shot in Aperture priority mode using the lens wide open at f/1.2
Most on ISO 200, and then varying shutter speeds, minimum of 1/250 to freeze the street action.

      Thank you for reading

  1. My favourite lens by now. Some lenses are able to create incredible results in any situation. The XF 56mm is one of those.

  2. Nice range of tones, the kind of subtle post processing I like. Do you mind me asking what package and typical settings? Cheers. Oh and I like your eye for dynamic composition – ‘cloud’ stands out for me, thanks for sharing that and all the other images.

    1. Hi there.

Thank you for reading. I use LR5 with some custom presets, and some misc tweaks. Mostly highlights and shadow play using curves, as well as contrast.
